We are delighted to be working in partnership with our client for the recruitment of a Client Director to provide strategic leadership across a portfolio of growing UK businesses (largely in the Tech start-up space). You’ll oversee client service delivery, mentor a high-performing team and ensure the delivery of accurate, timely and commercially valuable outsourced finance services.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys senior client engagement, developing people, improving processes and driving high-quality financial delivery—while remaining ready to step into hands-on work when needed.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and oversee a portfolio of clients, ensuring quality and consistency.
- Coach and support Finance Managers and Finance Associates.
- Act as the senior escalation point for complex client issues.
- Maintain strategic client relationships and support onboarding.
- Review complex management accounts, VAT returns and Annual Accounts
- Drive continuous improvement across processes and service delivery.
- Monitor portfolio KPIs
- Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities across the service offering.
- Step into hands-on accounting work during busy periods or team transitions.
About You
- ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent).
- 4+ years’ experience in a UK accountancy practice.
- Strong technical accounting skills across year-end accounts, VAT, payroll and management reporting.
- Experienced in mentoring and leading teams.
- Confident managing multiple deadlines in a remote environment.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Comfortable balancing strategic oversight with hands-on delivery when required.

Pay: £60,000.00-£67,500.00 per year
