Role Purpose:
We are seeking an accomplished and highly experienced IT Organisation Transformation Programme Manager to lead a complex, large-scale transformation initiative. This pivotal role requires a strategic leader with a proven track record of successfully navigating intricate organisational change, working collaboratively across critical functions such as HR, Legal, and Finance, and possessing deep expertise in IT operating model design and implementation. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and executing a comprehensive transformation programme that delivers significant business value and sustainable change.
Key Responsibilities:
- Programme Leadership & Strategy: Lead the end-to-end planning, design, and execution of a complex organisation transformation programme, ensuring alignment with strategic business objectives.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner extensively with HR to address people-related aspects of the transformation, including organisational design, talent management, culture change, and change readiness.
- Legal & Compliance Integration: Collaborate closely with Legal to ensure all transformation activities comply with regulatory requirements, contractual obligations, and mitigate legal risks.
- Financial Management & Impact: Work hand-in-hand with Finance to develop robust business cases, manage programme budgets, track financial benefits, and ensure fiscal responsibility throughout the transformation lifecycle.
- IT Operating Model Expertise: Support the ongoing design and implementation of the new IT operating model and support artefacts.
- Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with senior leadership, executive sponsors, and key stakeholders across all business units, ensuring clear communication and alignment.
- Change Management: Monitor and support the development and implementation of a comprehensive change management strategy to ensure successful adoption of new processes, systems, and organisational structures.
- Risk & Issue Management: Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate programme risks and issues, developing contingency plans to ensure successful delivery.
- Governance & Reporting: Establish and maintain robust programme governance frameworks, providing regular, transparent reporting on progress, risks, and financial performance to executive leadership.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor cross-functional programme teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Extensive Programme Management Experience: A minimum of 10 years of experience in leading and delivering large-scale, complex organisation transformation programmes within a corporate or consulting environment.
- Cross-Functional Engagement: Demonstrable experience in successfully collaborating with and influencing HR, Legal, and Finance functions to shape and execute transformation plans.
- IT Operating Model Expertise: Deep and practical experience in the design, implementation, and optimisation of IT operating models, including understanding of technology landscapes, service delivery, and governance.
- Strategic Acumen: Ability to translate strategic vision into actionable programme plans and drive execution with a clear focus on business outcomes.
- Change Leadership: Proven ability to lead and embed significant organisational change, managing resistance and fostering adoption.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Exceptional communication, negotiation, and influencing skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including C-suite executives.
- Methodological Proficiency: Strong understanding and practical application of programme management methodologies (e.g., Prince2, PMP, Agile) and change management frameworks.
- Problem-Solving: Highly analytical with strong problem-solving capabilities, able to navigate ambiguity and complex challenges.
Desirable Skills & Experience:
- Experience in a Big Four consulting firm or similar professional services environment.
- Experience with digital transformation initiatives.
