We are seeking passionate and skilled teachers (where English as mother tongue) to deliver engaging, project-based online lessons for students aged 4-13. The ideal candidate will excel in creating a dynamic, student-centered virtual classroom that encourages curiosity, collaboration, and reflective learning. Below are the description of the work duties, essential skills and background required for this role:
Responsibilities:
- Teaching students between ages of 4 and 13.
- Guide student discussions and group activities in an online environment.
- Encourage, stir up class discussions on topics (why do we care about the African & Marine wildlife, the nature management, and why sustainability concerns me?).
- Help shy students to loosen up their shell and take risks in their answers.
- Help students with weaker English gain confidence in expressing themselves.
- Challenge students with stronger command of English with harder tasks.
- Stimulate students to think critically & out-of-the-box, and share their minds.

Required skills & background:
- Facilitation Skills: Exceptional ability to guide student discussions and group activities in an online environment, fostering an inclusive and supportive atmosphere where students feel confident to share ideas, ask questions, and learn from mistakes.
- Open-Ended Questioning: Expertise in using open-ended questions to spark critical thinking, stimulate curiosity, and encourage students to explore diverse perspectives and articulate their thoughts in English.
- Reflective Learning: Proven ability to design and implement activities that promote self-reflection, such as learning journals or structured discussions, helping students evaluate their learning methods and develop a deeper understanding of their progress.
- Growth Mindset Advocacy: Strong commitment to cultivating a growth mindset in students, encouraging resilience, a positive attitude toward challenges, and a willingness to learn from errors.
- Inquiry-Based Learning: Extensive experience in designing and delivering inquiry-based learning activities, particularly within a project-based learning (PBL) framework, to drive student-led exploration and problem-solving.
- Online Teaching Proficiency: Skilled in using digital platforms and interactive tools (e.g., Kahoot, Padlet, Nearpod) to create engaging, interactive, and well-structured online lessons tailored to young learners.
- Solid experience in adapting lessons plans to students with different personalities
- Strong passion and experienced in inspiring young souls.
- Good understanding in nature topics (wildlife, ecosystem conservation and sustainable development).
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £900.00-£1,700.00 per month
