In this key role, you’ll contribute great design thinking and UX and UI skills to deliver high quality design solutions which meet customer needs and business objectives

You’ll collaborate closely with product owners, researchers, data analysts and developers to create seamless customer experiences
What you’ll do
As a Junior Product Designer, you’ll be working within a product team to deliver best-in-class solutions for Mettle’s customers and colleagues. You’ll demonstrate design thinking and the ability to problem solve by transforming customer insights into designed experiences, following the user-centred design process
You’ll also be:

Producing journey maps, wireframes, hi-fidelity UI and prototypes to effectively communicate ideas

Participating in ideation, brainstorming and critique workshops

Working with other designers on Mettle’s design systems, ensuring accessibility is paramount
-
Helping to set the vision for product design at Mettle, and contribute to the goals of the wider design team
The skills you’ll need
We’re looking for someone with 1-2 years experience of designing digital applications and products. You’ll also bring the ability to work well in an agile, fast-paced and data-driven environment.
We’ll also expect you to have:

An understanding of user research and the benefits that these insights have on design solutions

Good written and verbal communication skills

Experience of creating solutions that combine the needs of the customer with the needs of the business
