Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Manager to oversee and drive projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of project management methodologies, particularly the Waterfall approach, and will be proficient in using various project management software tools. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to manage teams effectively while ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
- Develop comprehensive project plans that outline tasks, milestones, and resource allocation.
- Utilise project management software such as Jira, Basecamp, and Project Server to track progress and communicate with stakeholders.
- Implement cost control measures to ensure financial efficiency throughout the project lifecycle.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Conduct regular team meetings to monitor progress, address challenges, and motivate team members.
- Prepare detailed reports for senior management on project status, risks, and outcomes.
- Foster a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and problem-solving among team members.
Skills
- Proven ability to work on both civil and building projects.
- Extensive experience in the installation of bridge bearing pads and expansion joints.
- Skilled in conducting mechanical testing of bridge components, including bearing pads and expansion joints, in a laboratory setting.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
- Effective team management abilities with a focus on product management principles.
- Strong organisational skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities while maintaining focus on project objectives.
