About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Investment Associate to undertake market and financial research and report on prospective investment opportunities. The successful candidate will identify and analyse both the value drivers and risk of investment opportunities. You will participate in business development and portfolio management activities by providing the necessary data for our decision-making process. This position has scope to progress into an Investment Manager role.
Responsibilities
- To research companies, their financial state, their underlying sectors of operation and related market trends.
- Create financial models and reports that convey complex information succinctly and accurately.
- Make recommendations based on research and an understanding of political and economic events.
- Analyze company financial statements and information (e.g. investor presentations, annual reports, etc.).
- Process and interpret complicated business and financial information.
- Write market and financial research summaries.
- Identify value drivers and potential business improvements.
- Identify business risks and potential mitigations.
- Examine and assess economic and market trends, earnings prospects and various other indicators and factors to determine suitable investment strategies.
- Look back at previous investment decisions and the thought process of making the investment decision.
- Liaise with investment managers and network with brokers and potential co-investors.
