The Challenge Ahead
Production Infrastructure and Engineering’s charter is to make EA's games and services available to all players anytime and anywhere. To do this, we focus on the high availability of infrastructure, core services, and studio services. We strive to enable developers to experiment and build new games quickly with infrastructure services on-demand and workflows that enable rapid development in the cloud. In all of this, we focus on being there for players where and when they want to play.
The Engagement Program Manager role is to facilitate successful launches and live operations of game titles and services as well as communicate, plan, report, and track partner requests. This role focuses on EA studios in Europe, including Codemasters and Criterion, as well as EA Sports App.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Facilitating launches and live operations of game titles and services: ensuring all PI&E domain owners and PMs have outlined tasks required for launches; understanding the business impact of partner and PI&E choices related to online infrastructure, product and services; assisting in troubleshooting issues related to tech, budget and execution by finding the right PoCs and SMEs, mediating meetings, building consensus on priorities and timelines; participating in RCAs.
- Managing partner requests: bringing opportunities and partner requests to PI&E following established intake and triage processes; reporting on PI&E deliverables to the partners via monthly reports; driving quarterly portfolio reviews with partners using the common template.
- Aligning partner needs with PI&E product and services: gathering and distributing customer feedback to PI&E product and services team, creating and regularly updating PI&E tech dependencies matrix for each partner, organize and maintain PI&E internal knowledge hub where PI&E team members can self-serve information about each partner, including its games, points of contacts, links to the tech dependencies; tracking partner engagements via an accessible CRM-like system
- Evangelizing PI&E products and services to partners: representing PI&E products and services to PI&E partners, regularly updating and reviewing PI&E Hosting Guidelines and other documentation.
- EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION:
- BS in Computer Science or comparable technical degree, or commensurate experience. Minimum 5 years of technical program/project management experience.
- Experience with Infrastructure and Cloud deployments, migrations, and upgrades across data center related technologies (eCommerce, Network, Security, Systems Administration, Database Administration, Storage).
- Experience managing projects with geographically distributed and culturally diverse work-groups.
- Experience with documentation and work tracking tools like: JIRA, Monday.com, Service Now, Confluence, GitLab, Sharepoint.
- Proficient with G-Suite tools. Excel advanced reporting capabilities for building, tracking and analyzing data.
- Experience working with multiple teams and partners across organizations.
- Delivery track record across multiple large-scale cross group programs, including scrum/team prioritization.
