The Role
Due to our continued growth, we are delighted to confirm that we are currently seeking an experienced and Project Support Co-ordinator to join Fortem, based in Longbridge, Birmingham.
The administration and project support role will work on a full-time basis and will ensure that high levels of administration support and branch support is provided, supporting the overall delivery of a large capital works programme, where we will be responsible for enhancements to properties, including bathrooms, kitchens and roof's.
The Project Support Co-ordinator will complete general administration duties to a high and accurate standard, taking ownership of work, demonstrating great organisation skills, enabling forward planning and meeting of deadlines by prioritising work.
The Project
You will be part of one of Fortem’s largest Social Housing contracts, Birmingham City Council. This is an expanding £50m Repairs & Maintenance, Capital Works and Retrofit contract and the largest social housing contract in Europe. We are responsible for over 22,500 properties in the Birmingham area including low, medium and a significant number of high-rise blocks. This is a fast paced, focused and dedicated contract which we have been re-awarded 3 times and we are very proud to be able to support this exceptional client.
Essential and Desirable Criteria
Key duties and responsibilities:
- Provide extensive administrative project support to the contract
- Collate and log critical information
- Offer a range of administration and project support to the team
- Liaise and co-ordinate with internal customers and contractors to ensure information is accurately logged and collated
- Input of timely and accurate information
- Cost allocation of purchase orders and invoices including checking against order values
- Produce accurate documentation and/or correspondence
- Maintain and enter Electrical Testing Programme and Certificates
- Ensure full compliance with the standards, documents library and forms library
Personal Qualities
Essential:
- Previous experience in a administrative/project support role
- Computer literate – Word & Excel
- Excellent communication skills (email/phone and face to face).
- An organised and professional approach
- Ability to prioritise workload
Desirable:
- NVQ 2/3 in business/office administration
- Experience within the Construction industry
- Driving licence would be advantageous
Other requirements:
- Willingness to travel if required by the business
