Internship - 3 to 6 months
Location: London / Remote
Who we are
We are aulium.
We are a media company first, focused on innovation and private capital.
What we do:
- Host a video show where we talk with founders, investors and operators about innovation, private markets and the stories behind the deals
- Build and nurture a curated network of private investors who follow our content and trust our filter
- Turn those relationships and conversations into proprietary deal flow for our investors and partners
Media is how we earn attention and trust. From there, we help investors access better opportunities and help founders tell their story to the right capital partners.
We are now looking for a Venture Associate Intern to sit right at the intersection of media, research and deal flow.
Why aulium is different
- Media first approachYou will see how content shapes reputation, access and deal flow in real time, not just react to deals that come in.
- Proprietary deal flowYou will work on opportunities that emerge from our show, our audience and our investor network, not a generic outbound list.
- Direct accessSmall team, no layers. You will interact with founders, investors and guests early and often, and work directly with the founding team.
- Build as we goWe are still early. You will not just follow processes, you will help design them.
Role overview
As a Venture Associate Intern, you will:
- Map and research emerging themes and companies around the topics we cover on the show
- Help turn conversations and signals from our media into qualified investment opportunities
- Support analysis, notes and communication for our investor network
You will get broad exposure to: sourcing, screening, due diligence, investor communication and the media engine that powers all of that.
What you will do
1. Research and mapping
- Map sectors, themes and geographies we care about
- Identify promising founders, companies and funds in those spaces
- Track trends across innovation, private capital and alternative assets
2. Deal flow and analysis
- Review inbound decks and opportunities coming from our community
- Run first pass screens: market, product, traction, team and fit with our investors
- Support deeper work on selected deals: market sizing, competitive landscape, basic financial analysis
- Draft short internal notes and structured summaries for our investors
3. Media and show support
- Research guests, companies and themes for upcoming episodes
- Prepare briefing notes, sample questions and angles for the hosts
- Turn insights from episodes into short written pieces, themes or simple frameworks
- Help close the loop between show guests, investors and founders who might be a fit for each other
4. Internal tools and projects
- Maintain and improve our CRM and knowledge base (investors, founders, companies, themes)
- Help design and refine internal workflows from content to deal flow
- Own at least one focused project during your internship, for example:
- A deep dive on a specific sector
- A new sourcing channel or format
- A mini product for our investor community
