Puma Investments are looking for a Fund Operations & Settlements Executive to join our Operations team in London.
Puma Investments raises funds from a variety of sources including wealth managers and IFAs from the very large including SJP, Barclays Wealth, Evelyn Partners, and Cazenove, through regional players to the very small independents, from execution-only brokers and from HNWs. We also work with leading wrap platforms including Fidelity, Aberdeen, M&G and Transact.
Within this role, you will be responsible for managing any operational activities throughout our client’s investment cycle, from allotment through to exit. The individual will deliver excellent service to our external clients and internal business units, by ensuring they are processing all operational requests within the agreed SLAs to an exceptional standard.
In addition to day-to-day responsibilities, the individual will look to streamline, digitise and automate manual processes, to increase efficiencies within the team. They will work closely with the Head of Operations to drive new initiatives.
Role Responsibilities:
- Ensure all operational tasks are processed within set SLAs
- Respond to client and internal requests in a timely manner
- Review and process initial/ongoing adviser fees and initial/trail commission to financial intermediaries
- Prepare and facilitate regular withdrawals for underlying investors
- Prepare and facilitate payments for monthly bordereaux and liaise with brokers to manage the insurance claim process
- Facilitate redemptions, matched bargain allotments and the efficient processing of fund distributions
- Coordinate and support allotments, liaising with lawyers and external providers to ensure minutes are signed and shares are allotted in a timely manner
- Ensuring data integrity is maintained across all systems with oversight of cash reconciliation for investor accounts
- Log and escalate to Compliance any complaints and operational incidents
- Support the Head of Operations with streamlining initiatives
- Ensure documentation of evolving processes and contribute ideas to gain efficiencies
Experience Required:
- Demonstrable experience in Investment Operations or middle office
- Sound knowledge of Financial Services industry, with knowledge of tax-efficient product ranges advantageous
- Knowledge of the trade lifecycle, supporting with trade settlements and resolving discrepancies promptly
- Strong proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook
- Knowledge of Python/VBA (or willingness to learn)
- Proactive with an ability to work in a fast paced and challenging environment
- Hardworking, organised and excellent attention to detail

- Confident communicator with the ability to manage internal and external stakeholders
