Project Manager – Alternatives | Data Uplift Programme
Assignment Details:
- Start: January
- Duration: 3-6 months
- Location: Hybrid – 2-3 days per week onsite in London
- Rate: £500-550 PAYE per day (+12.07% holiday pay accrued) (PAYE with employer’s NI & tax deducted at source – unlike umbrella companies and no umbrella company admin fees)
Robert Half is supporting a client in the search for an experienced Project Manager to lead the Alternatives workstream within a large-scale data uplift programme at a leading investment organisation.
This is a senior delivery role for someone who ideally understands both Alternatives investments and data transformation and can confidently lead a complex workstream involving senior stakeholders across Investment, Data, Technology, Operations, Risk and Compliance.
The Role
You will take full ownership of the Alternatives workstream, driving delivery across data quality, governance, platform migration, and operating model improvement. You will be responsible for planning, execution, governance, stakeholder engagement, and vendor management to ensure successful outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead delivery of the Alternatives workstream within a multi-stream data programme
- Own planning, delivery governance, RAID, budgets and reporting
- Partner with Investment, Data, Technology, and Operations leadership
- Drive data remediation, quality improvement, and governance across Alternatives datasets
- Manage integration of investment and fund data from administrators and vendors
- Ensure alignment between business requirements and technical delivery
- Manage delivery partners and third-party providers
- Escalate risks, manage dependencies, and drive resolution
- Report progress and outcomes to senior stakeholders and programme leadership
Required Experience:
- Banking / Financial Services industry experience
Data / Transformation background, including:
- Data uplift, remediation, or governance programmes
- Data migrations or platform implementations
- Experience integrating multiple data sources
- Understanding of data operating models and controls
Delivery capability
- Proven track record leading workstreams or programmes
- Senior stakeholder management experience (Front Office / Investment teams)
- Vendor and delivery partner management
- Delivery frameworks such as PRINCE2, MSP, PMP, Agile, or SAFe
