Purpose of the Role
The manager will ensure a secure, stable, and seamless transition of all IT services, infrastructure, and applications while maintaining business continuity.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and validate migration and transition plans with the buyer and bp’s digital teams.
- Oversee secure transfer of IT assets and services, including:
- Cloud-based systems
- End-user devices (mainly laptops, some desktops)
- Ensure minimal disruption to ongoing business operations.
- Collaborate closely with bp service lines and the buyer’s IT organisation to align on hosting strategies and timelines.
- Support ASTRO and other transition-related computing assessments.
Experience & Skills Required
- 10+ years’ experience in IT project or infrastructure management
- Strong background in end-to-end IT services: servers, firewalls, networks, end-user computing, and hosting
- Project management certification (e.g., PMP) preferred
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft tools (ADO, Project)
- Proven experience in Mergers, Acquisitions, or Divestments is a plus
- Technical foundation (former engineer, network, or systems background preferred)
- Ability to anticipate and resolve potential technical blockers early
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Fluent English; German language skills highly advantageous
