The Role
We are seeking a hands-on Product Development & Sourcing Manager – Fashion (Handbags) to join our London-based team (hybrid, West London office). You will work directly with the CEO, managing our handbags category (and potentially other categories in the future) from product research through to sourcing, development, and launch.
Responsibilities
- Run our structured quarterly product research process to identify new handbags and fashion items for development (bestseller analysis, fashion magazines, social media, Google tools, etc.).
- Adapt and redesign chosen products (working with freelance designers to create accurate tech packs ready for production).
- Source and onboard suitable factories (mainly in China/Asia), including factory identification, negotiation, and compliance with our onboarding process.
- Negotiate pricing and ensure competitive landed costs.
- Manage product development with factories, ensuring consistent flow of new products each month.
- Attend Asian trade fairs and factory visits (quarterly travel, ~2 weeks each).
- Report directly to the CEO; no team under you initially – hands-on execution required.
The Candidate
- Hands-on product development/sourcing experience in fashion, ideally handbags.
- Background in small, entrepreneurial businesses or retailers sourcing in Asia.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver results: cost savings, product launches, supplier management.
- Comfortable working in a lean, frugal environment (economy flights, reasonable hotels when traveling).
- Target-driven and evidence-based in your achievements.
- Excited to work in a highly structured, process-oriented culture using checklists and productivity tools (e.g. Process Street, Time Doctor).
- Strong English communication skills; data-driven decision-making mindset.

Hiring Process

Location: Hybrid role, based in West London.
Salary: £40,000 – £50,000 + performance bonus (based on launches and results).
