Hays has partnered with a leading financial services institution to appoint an experienced PMO to an extensive financial transformation programme. Playing a critical role in the programme for this strategic business initiative, if you're an established Programme PMO with demonstrated success in leading PMO activities across complex end-to-end programmes within financial services (ideally an exchange or clearing house), then we want to hear from you.
Length: 12 months + likely extension
Location: London
Hybrid: Yes (3-days in-office/week)
Rate: £700 - £750/day inside via Umbrella
Your new role and what you'll need to succeed
As the Programme PMO, your role will be essential in ensuring programme governance, reporting, and coordination across a number of workstreams, vendors and stakeholders. Working closely with Project Managers, Sponsors, the Portfolio Management Office and the leadership team to provide SME guidance and insight around best-practice programme governance, your key duties/experience will include:
- Supporting the implementation and ongoing operation of the programme governance framework, with a focus on delivery coordination and reporting (including preparing high quality reporting for Programme Boards, Executive Committees and Boards and ensuring reporting timelines are met)
- Use advanced Excel skills to analyse data, identify anomalies, and work with the PMs to resolve any issues efficiently within budgets and forecasting processes.
- Maintain RAID logs with timely, accurate updates aligned to programme escalation thresholds, and coordinate reporting across workstreams, supporting dashboards, board papers, and regulatory submissions.
- Demonstrated experience as a Senior PMO at the programme level is essential for this role, as is experience in financial services (preferably clearing or an exchange).
