PMO – Migration Programme
Are you an experienced PMO professional with a strong background in governance, financial tracking, and project delivery support? Do you bring proven expertise in Life & Pensions and the ability to partner closely with project managers to drive successful outcomes? If so, this short-term opportunity could be a perfect fit.
Our client, a leading management consultancy, is seeking a PMO to support a major migration programme. Working closely with the Project Manager on the ground, you will play a key role in ensuring governance, reporting, and delivery discipline across the programme. This contract role offers a hybrid arrangement based in London and is expected to run for 3–6 months.
- Provide governance support by maintaining programme controls, status reporting, and RAID capture/mitigation.
- Manage programme plans, tracking progress against milestones and highlighting variances.
- Ensure timely resolution of actions by following up with owners and stakeholders.
- Support resource management and allocations across the programme.
- Track budgets and report on financial performance, providing transparency and assurance.
- Act as a trusted partner to the Project Manager, supporting day-to-day delivery activities.
Essential Skills & Experience:

7+ years’ experience in PMO roles, ideally within complex programmes.
- Strong knowledge of Life & Pensions, with demonstrable experience in this domain.
- Hands-on experience with project governance, RAID management, and status reporting.
- Proven ability to manage programme plans, milestones, and dependencies.
- Experience with financial tracking, budget reporting, and resource allocation.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders.
Preferred:

Previous experience providing direct support to Project Managers in large-scale migration or transformation programmes.
- Project management experience, with the ability to step in and manage workstreams as required.
