Now, we’re looking for a talented freelance subeditor to join our editorial team and help us deliver outstanding publications, guides, and event content.
Role Responsibilities:
- Proofread and subedit content across magazines, brochures, and guides to ensure clarity, accuracy, and consistency with our house style.
- Liaise with clients and colleagues to review content, gather approvals, and ensure deadlines are met.
- Uphold editorial integrity by complying with media law and ethical guidelines.
- Maintain the high standards our readers and partners expect from Eljays44.
Person Specification:
- Strong experience in proofreading and subediting (ideally within publishing, journalism, or B2B media).
- A meticulous eye for detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage deadlines and juggle multiple projects.
- Professional, approachable, and confident liaising with clients.
- A positive, can-do attitude and enthusiasm for producing high-quality work.

Hours will vary but you can expect a regular workload as you will be supporting us on monthly publications, as well as assisting with supplements, awards brochures and event guides. Hourly rate is DOE.
