Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and creative VC Analyst specializing in Material Creation to join our growing team. This role is critical to our proprietary deal sourcing and validation methodology, focusing on developing compelling investment materials, pitch optimization, and strategic presentation development that drives successful capital connections.
Key Responsibilities
Material Development & Design- Create high-quality pitch decks, investment memos, and executive summaries for portfolio companies
- Develop investor-facing materials including deal summaries, market analysis presentations, and sector overviews
- Design and maintain template libraries for consistent brand presentation across all client materials
- Collaborate with portfolio companies to refine and optimize existing pitch materials
Market Research & Analysis- Conduct comprehensive market research to support investment thesis development
- Analyze industry trends, competitive landscapes, and market sizing for target sectors
- Create data-driven market validation reports to support deal testing and investor outreach
- Develop sector-specific material frameworks for AI, healthcare, sustainability, and emerging technology verticals
Deal Process Support- Support the proprietary deal sourcing process by creating initial assessment materials
- Assist in market validation and deal testing through presentation development
- Collaborate with Senior Associates and Managing Partners on strategic fundraising materials
- Maintain and update deal pipeline documentation and progress tracking materials
Investor Relations Materials- Develop investor mandate summaries and alignment documentation
- Create post-investment support materials and portfolio updates
- Design networking event presentations and thought leadership content
- Support business development initiatives through compelling marketing materials
Technology & Process Optimization- Utilize design software and presentation tools to maintain professional material standards
- Implement feedback loops to continuously improve material effectiveness and conversion rates
- Support proprietary technology platform development with user-facing materials
Required Qualifications
Education & Experience- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Design, or related field
- 1-3 years of experience in investment banking, venture capital, consulting, or financial services
- Proven experience in presentation design and financial material creation
- Portfolio demonstrating high-quality pitch deck and investment material development
Technical Skills- Expert proficiency in PowerPoint, Keynote, and Google Slides
- Strong capabilities in design software (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva Pro, Figma)
- Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills for financial modeling and data presentation
- Experience with CRM systems and deal pipeline management tools
- Familiarity with pitch deck platforms (PitchBook, DocSend, etc.)
Core Competencies- Exceptional attention to detail and visual design sensibility
- Strong financial modeling and analysis capabilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to translate complex financial concepts into clear, compelling narratives
- Understanding of venture capital, private equity, and family office investment processes
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with early-stage ventures or growth companies
- Knowledge of emerging technology sectors (AI, healthcare tech, sustainability)
- Familiarity with investor relations and fundraising processes
- Experience with cold outreach and investor engagement strategies
- International business experience or language capabilities
