We are seeking an experienced PMO professional to join our team and drive the setup and delivery of a remediation programme for borrowers in financial difficulty. If you have a strong background in retail banking compliance projects (excluding KYC) and hands-on PMO experience, particularly in designing and managing remediation or arrears programmes, we'd love to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and lead a remediation programme for borrowers in arrears or financial difficulty, ensuring robust project governance and delivery frameworks.
- Develop and document processes for handling subprime customers, establishing clear workflows and standards aligned with retail banking compliance.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to align teams, manage dependencies, and provide regular progress updates through effective reporting.
- Ensure remediation processes meet regulatory standards, leveraging a strong understanding of retail banking compliance (non-KYC focused).
- Track and manage the implementation of arrears management strategies, using PMO tools like RAID logs, milestone tracking, and status reports.
- Drive continuous improvement by standardizing programme processes, embedding best practices, and maintaining transparency across workstreams.
- Support project delivery by providing training, coaching, and quality assurance to team members as needed.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in retail banking, with a focus on compliance and remediation projects (excluding KYC).
- Proven PMO experience, including designing and delivering complex programmes, with hands-on expertise in process design, governance, and documentation.
- Demonstrated success working on arrears management or remediation programmes, ideally with subprime customers or borrowers in financial difficulty.
- Strong understanding of retail banking regulatory requirements and the ability to ensure compliance within programme delivery.
- Proficiency in PMO disciplines such as stakeholder management, risk and issue tracking, resource planning, and progress reporting.
- Experience in Waterfall and/or Agile environments, with the ability to adapt processes to a fast-paced setting.
- Previous experience in a Big 4 consulting firm is a plus but not essential.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills, with a proactive and goal-driven approach.
- In-depth knowledge of retail banking products and services, particularly related to remediation and compliance challenges.
