Overview:
We are seeking a Technical Project Manager with 5-10 years of experience in the networking environment and at least 3 years of experience in technical project management. The candidate will be responsible for gathering project requirements, managing change requests, and coordinating with carriers and vendors for installations. The role involves developing executable project plans using Microsoft Project and documenting deployment processes. Strong technical networking knowledge and project management expertise are critical.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead technical network service projects, gathering requirements, defining project scope, and creating detailed project plans using Microsoft Project.
• Document deployment processes and ensure all relevant procedures are followed throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage and support change requests, working closely with carriers and vendors for network installations and upgrades.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project delivery across various platforms and technologies.
• Apply in-depth technical knowledge of networking technologies, including Cisco, F5, Arista, Juniper, McAfee, and Checkpoint.
• Understanding network-related issues, leveraging a strong understanding of Ethernet, Spanning Tree, TCP/IP, and routing protocols (RIP, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP).
• Ensure project execution aligns with ITIL frameworks and service management best practices.
• Communicate eƯectively with stakeholders, providing updates on project progress and managing expectations.
• Foster collaboration within virtual global teams, working within a matrix organization to ensure project goals are met.
Required Skills & Experience:
• Advanced networking technology skills along with a good understanding of cross platform technologies.
• Certified project manager (typically PMI PMP, PRINCE or comparable);
• In Depth knowledge and experience of networking technologies with at least the following technologies Cisco, F5, Arista, Juniper, McAfee and Checkpoint.
• Strong understanding of Ethernet, Spanning Tree, TCP/IP, Routing (RIP, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP);
• Strong understanding of ITIL, network security concepts and service management principals
• Excellent analytical skills to evaluate and resolve problems and issues.
• Good communication skills, fluent in local language and English (written/verbal);
• Strong Stakeholder management ability
• Excellent team worker, able to work in virtual global teams in a matrix organization.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in managing technical projects in a large, global network environment.
• Proven ability to deliver complex technical projects on time and within scope
