Senior Project Manager - Remote (UK) | Financial Services - 12 month FTC
Our leading Financial Services organisation are looking for an experienced Senior PM to deliver a complex software integration Project on an initial 12-month FTC.
This is an exciting opportunity to manage the delivery of a new strategic project for the organisation and their stakeholders, transforming and building new software components which will integrate with other new and exciting 3rd party systems.
This is a remote-first role but will require flexibility to travel in the UK/ Europe as and when required.
Required Experience:
- Experience of delivering software and integration projects.
- Demonstrable understanding of software development life cycles, integration processes.
- Experience of managing technical teams (internal & external) to deliver successful projects.
- Experience of working with stakeholders across the globe, in multiple locations and different time zones. Demonstrable experience of working with different cultures and having experience of different working environments to ensure effective collaboration and communication.
- Experience of working with both external and senior stakeholders.
- Have proven experience as a Project Manager within the Financial Services / Insurance industry.
- Demonstrates a strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
- Demonstrates excellent organisational and multitasking skills.
- Demonstrable leadership and team management abilities, with the capacity to manage and motivate team members effectively.
- Have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective interaction with stakeholders at all levels. This includes being able to convey complex information clearly and concisely and resolve conflicts diplomatically.
- Hold a PMP, PRINCE2, or similar project management certification (preferred).
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage project scope, goals, and deliverables.
- Collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including time lines, milestones, and resource allocation.
- Coordinate and lead project team meetings, ensuring effective communication and collaboration among team members.
- Monitor project progress and performance, identifying and resolving issues and risks.
- Manage changes to project scope, schedule, and costs using appropriate verification techniques.
- Ensure all project documentation is complete, current, and stored appropriately.
- Provide regular project updates to stakeholders, including status reports, risk assessments, and project metrics.
- Foster a positive and collaborative team environment, promoting continuous improvement.
