We have an opportunity for a Scrum Master to join our Engineering team of staff.
This is a Full time role for 37.5 hours a week.
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
- You can demonstrate excellent DevOps practices with a strong understanding on the principles and their application. This extends to a strong practical application of agile and scrum methodologies.
- You hold certifications such as Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) or equivalent.
- You have excellent interpersonal skills and a strong customer and team working ethos, able to build and maintain good, effective working relationships across IT End-Users, Clinicians, Managers, IT team and 3rd Parties.
- You can explain/translate highly technical problems to non-technical colleagues.
- You have excellent written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
- You have experience of mentoring and developing team members.
- You should have experience of private healthcare-based role.
- You should be highly self-motivated and well organised to deliver results and have a pro-active approach to duties and self-development, setting personal objectives that support the business/team goals.
- You should be keen and able to learn new technologies.
- You should be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), service desk management systems, and Azure DevOps.
Duties of this role include:
Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups (daily Scrum), sprint planning, sprint reviews, and sprint retrospectives.
- Identify and remove obstacles that hinder the team’s progress.
- Work with other departments or external parties to remove blockers outside the team's control.
- Coach team members in Agile practices and the Scrum framework.
- Provide guidance on Scrum roles, events, and artefacts.
- Ensure that the team adheres to Scrum practices and principles.
- Promote the use of Scrum and Agile methodologies within the organisation.
- Assist the Product Owner in managing the product backlog and ensuring it is well-groomed and prioritised.
- Promote continuous improvement by encouraging the team to reflect on their practices and identify areas for improvement.
- Integrate Azure DevOps into the SCRUM process.
- Utilise Azure Boards to track and manage work items, sprints, and backlogs.
- Ensure seamless collaboration between engineering and the wider IT and business stakeholders through Azure DevOps.
- Leverage Azure DevOps metrics and analytics to monitor progress and drive improvements.
