An exciting opportunity has arisen to work as a Project Support Officer in our Policy and Social Change Team

Due to the expansion of Brainkind's Award-Winning Brain Injury Linkworker Service, we are delighted to advertise for a Project Support Officer to join our team. The Brain Injury Linkworker Service is expanding to seven additional HMPPS and NHS Health & Justice sites located in Northwest England.

This is a remote working position with travel to services as required. The post holder will have experience of project management, and supervisory work. They will work both independently, and within a team to support the Programme Manager and clinical team with the delivery of the Brain Injury Linkworker Service.

The role includes supporting and providing line management for the Brain Injury Linkworkers to enable them to deliver a high-quality service. The ideal candidate will be experienced in implementing projects with a range of stakeholders, that focus on delivering exceptional outcomes for people in contact with health, social care, or the criminal justice system.

MAIN PURPOSE:
To support the Programme Manager and clinical team with the delivery of the Brain Injury Linkworker Service.

The Project Support Officer role will support the deliver of a best practice Brain Injury Service model in custodial and community settings. The role will report to the Programme Manager and work closely with Principal Psychologist, Consultant Clinical Neuropsychologist, Head of Policy and Social Change, other project staff and external partners.

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Providing line management support for Brain Injury Linkworkers who are delivering services in both prison, and probation settings.
Assist the Programme Manager in planning, monitoring, and reporting on project progress, risks and issues.
Support the Programme Manager in all compliance elements for the projects.
Coordinate and organise project meetings, planning and organising training. Preparing and distributing project documents, reports, minutes, and correspondence.
Consulting with internal and external stakeholders, including people in contact with the criminal justice system, regulators, external funders, and the commissioning teams.

The Project Support Officer is responsible for developing and following robust governance arrangements, producing plans and other documentation, whilst providing line management and guidance for the team. The role ensures communication is maintained between all stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle, organisational procedures are adhered to, objectives are identified and met, and benefits realised from the delivery of the project, within the defined quality, time and cost constraints.

ABOUT YOU:

Understanding of the impact psychological problems or other complex disabilities (e.g. acquired brain injury) can have on the individual, families and community.
Significant project management experience in a social care or healthcare environment
Experience and understanding of the development and delivery of high-quality specialist services in either rehabilitation/residential, drug/alcohol, mental health, homeless, forensic or nursing services
Proven experience managing people, providing appropriate leadership, support and development
Experience of writing reports for high level professional and stakeholders
Experience of developing, presenting and implementing service-related business plans incorporating PR and marketing
Willingness to work within community settings
Willingness to travel to external sites
