Job Title: Programme Manager – Risk Transformation (Contract)
Location: Hybrid (Remote & Ad Hoc Yorkshire)
IR35: Inside
Duration: 6 Months
Day Rate: ~£850 (DOE)
The Opportunity
We’re seeking an experienced Programme Manager to lead a Risk Transformation programme for a major Financial Services organisation. This is a contract role with immediate impact, ideal for someone who thrives on delivery, can hit the ground running, and brings deep expertise in Risk and Banking change.
You’ll take ownership of a complex, multi-workstream programme focused on risk data, reporting, controls, and regulatory compliance. This is a hands-on delivery role, not just governance, where you’ll be expected to drive outcomes, unblock issues, and ensure milestones land on time.
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-end delivery leadership of a multi-year Risk Transformation programme.
- Mobilise workstreams covering risk data & reporting (BCBS 239), controls uplift, and regulatory change (Basel III/IV, IFRS 9, ICAAP/ILAAP).
- Manage RAID, dependencies, and integrated planning across multiple teams and vendors.
- Engage senior stakeholders (CRO, COO, CFO, regulators) and run SteerCos with clear reporting.
- Drive change adoption and business readiness for sustainable outcomes.
Essential Experience
- Recent hands-on delivery of large-scale programmes (not just PMO oversight).
- Risk and Risk Transformation expertise within Financial Services/Banking.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks (BCBS 239, Basel, IFRS 9, ICAAP/ILAAP).
- Proven ability to manage complex stakeholder landscapes and vendor relationships.
- Hybrid delivery approach (Agile + Waterfall for regulatory milestones).
