Total Package: London: £51,000. Milton Keynes: £47,750. East Kilbride: £46,000.
Contract: Permanent
Location: London, Milton Keynes, East Kilbride
We lead the UK’s diplomatic, development and consular work around the world. We employ around 17,000 staff in our global network of 281 offices worldwide. Our UK-based staff work in King Charles Street in London, Abercrombie House in East Kilbride and in Milton Keynes.
Your role with us
Our Information and Digital Directorate is responsible for delivering the Foreign Secretary’s ambition to make the FCDO the most technologically integrated and innovative foreign ministry globally. This involves harnessing digital, data, technology, IT security and information management to deliver our diplomatic, development and consular aims while keeping our people and information safe and secure.
As a Product Manager within the FCDO’s Digital, Data and Technology team, you’ll be at the forefront of building and improving the digital tools that enable the UK’s global mission. You’ll take end-to-end ownership of a portfolio of products, from internal platforms such as the Power Platform and ServiceNow to live service tools, infrastructure, and public-facing Consular services – ensuring they deliver real value for users across the FCDO network and beyond.
You’ll define and communicate clear product strategies, bringing vision and direction to multidisciplinary Agile teams. Acting as both a product owner and Scrum Master, you’ll coordinate work across designers, developers, analysts, and user researchers, using tools such as DevOps and Kanban to manage delivery efficiently. Your focus will be on creating user-centred, data-driven products – drawing on research and analysis to understand customer needs, prioritise development, and ensure that every improvement makes a measurable difference.
You’ll bring strong problem-solving and strategic thinking skills, identifying opportunities to streamline services, modernise processes, and create digital solutions that support FCDO’s operational and diplomatic goals. From defining success measures to evaluating outcomes, you’ll ensure that every product you manage aligns with organisational priorities and provides tangible impact. You’ll also work closely with FCDO colleagues across the UK and our overseas network, collaborating with programme and policy teams to integrate digital innovation into the heart of our operations. You’ll build relationships, share insights, and use feedback to continuously improve how we design and deliver digital services.
Who we are looking for

· You’ll bring strong user-centred instincts, using research and insight to shape priorities and represent user needs in every decision. You’ll also have experience managing products through different stages of their life cycle – from discovery to live service – ensuring each phase meets appropriate standards and delivers measurable value.
