The Role
As Project Planning Manager, you’ll take ownership of the planning and delivery process for commercial solar PV installations. Working closely with our design, sales, and installation teams, you will:
- Lead and manage the Projects planning function
- Coordinate end-to-end project planning, from design approval through to installation and client handover
- Manage schedules, resources, and work to budgets to ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope
- Liaise with clients, sub-contractors and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution
- Manage all aspects of project procurement including purchase agreements, negotiating with suppliers and sub-contractors
- Report on projects team performance, analyse and make recommendations
- Support continuous improvement of our project management systems and processes
This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives on managing multiple projects simultaneously and ensuring the delivery of excellence for our customers.
About You
We’re looking for a motivated project professional who:
- Has a strong track record in project planning and delivery, ideally within commercial construction, M&E, or renewable energy installations
- Brings excellent organisational and problem-solving skills, with a structured and detail-driven approach
- Can manage multiple projects and stakeholders effectively under time pressure
- Strong background in use of project planning software and budget management
- Has extensive experience liaising with clients, suppliers, and contractors in a professional and collaborative way
- Relevant project management qualification (e.g., PRINCE2, APM) advantageous but not essential
- Has a full UK driving licence and willing to undertake occasional travel to project sites across the region
