Core Banking (Global) is responsible for the development and maintenance of HSBC Core Banking platforms globally. This role sits within Core Banking (UK), specifically the Retail Processing System (RPS), the Core Banking platform of HSBC UK. This role collaborates across multiple locations within the Technology teams in UK and multiple Global technology centres, and additionally works alongside Global VS teams. This may necessitate some flexibility around hours to maintain global communication across the teams.
In this role you will:

Reporting progress, issues, dependencies, and risks to the Core Banking Portfolio Manager and to the Project steering committees as appropriate and make recommendations to influence decision making in order to maintain progress towards delivery and benefits realisation.

Producing effective project progress reports to keep stakeholders appraised of project status, key issues, scope changes, resource changes and milestone achievements or misses.

Maintains project change control, ensuring any changes to baseline are managed through change request and all impacts are considered.

Maintaining effective and good relationships between the business and the IT Teams, managing appropriate business expectations and negotiating compromise where appropriate. Proactively manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Collaborates and builds positive stakeholder relationships providing regular updates to resolve high priority issues affecting the project.

Work closely with Value Stream leads and Sub-Value Stream leads to ensure Project progress, risks, financials are managed to align with HSBC’s ways of working.
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

Must have proven End to End technical Project Management experience, preferable within Core Banking environment.

Proven experience as a Scrum master within a Tech change programme.

Past working experience on relevant systems such as IBM Z-series or I-Series
-
Experience as IT Project Manager on Global, complex IT projects using Software Delivery Life Cycle (SDLC)/Agile methodology.

Excellent written and spoken communication skills; an ability to communicate with impact, ensuring complex information is articulated in a meaningful way to wide and varied audiences.
This role is based in Sheffield and offer hybrid working (3 days in the office).
