THE INFECTED BLOOD COMPENSATION AUTHORITY
Forecasting, Performance and Insight Analysts
Location: Newcastle
Who we are and what we aim to achieve
The Infected Blood Compensation Authority (IBCA) was set up in response to the devastating events that occurred in the 1970s and 1980s when more than 30,000 people in the UK received contaminated blood products. The IBCA will work with people who were infected and affected by these issues, and when you join us you’ll have the opportunity to shape and design an organisation that will make a difference to the lives of thousands of people throughout the UK.
Help us create a service that treats our customers with care and respect
This is a demanding but incredibly rewarding role, and carries a high level of responsibility. Focused on analysing the supply and demand trends that inform the future requirements of the IBCA, you’ll develop the tools and data sets required to enhance the work we do. As a key member of a small, collaborative team, you’ll provide operations-centric counsel to our organisation, work that will be informed by data-led intelligence that helps us understand the current and future risks to the service we offer.
But you work won’t stop here – you’ll have a wide range of additional responsibilities. These include supporting, developing and implementing systems that enable the accurate forecasting of demand, and creating deployment plans which ensure our resources match this demand. Identifying opportunities for improvement within the customer journey will be another key task, as will making use of the best available data to test hypotheses and derive credible insights.
Use all your knowledge, sensitivity and expertise in this vital role
A positive and highly effective communicator, you’ll be capable of creating charts, graphs, and visuals and presenting your findings and recommendations with conviction and authority. Always ready to develop fruitful relationships with key colleagues and stakeholders, you’ll have the confidence to challenge and develop innovative new ways of working, and have practical knowledge of effective performance management and analysis.
It's important that you have a good understanding of effective workflow practices and the planning of supply and demand in a service delivery environment, and in addition to the ability to analyse operational data to support effective reporting, you’ll have well developed experience of delivering plans in a multi-channel organisation. Capable of interpreting and presenting complex performance information both verbally and in writing, you’ll be skilled at producing data driven insights that support the understanding of the key factors driving performance. And as a collaborative and positive team worker, you’ll be happy to work in a busy, fast-paced environment.
The Civil Service embraces diversity and promotes equal opportunities. With this in mind, we run a Disability Confident Scheme for candidates with disabilities who meet the minimum selection criteria. Also, please note that successful candidates must meet our security requirements before they can be appointed, and will also undergo a criminal record check.
