Job Overview
Our client, a Digital Consultancy are seeking an experienced Agile Coach to join their dynamic team on a contract basis. You will work as part of a team, supporting one of their clients, a major manufacturing company.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for guiding teams through the Agile transformation process, ensuring that Agile principles and practices are effectively implemented across the organisation. You will work closely with various stakeholders to foster a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration, ultimately enhancing project delivery and team performance.
Duties
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and reviews to ensure effective communication and collaboration among team members.
- Coach teams on Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban, to improve their understanding and application of Agile principles.
- Collaborate with project managers and product owners to align project goals with business objectives while ensuring adherence to Agile practices.
- Assist in the development of user acceptance testing (UAT) strategies and test cases to validate project deliverables.
- Support disaster recovery planning and execution, ensuring that teams are prepared for unforeseen events.
- Utilise project management software, including Jira, to track progress and manage workflows effectively.
- Provide guidance on release management processes to ensure smooth transitions from development to production environments.
- Mentor team members in software development best practices, fostering a culture of learning and growth within the organisation.
- Leverage AWS tools and services as necessary to enhance project delivery capabilities.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Agile Coach or in a similar role within a software development environment.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, including Scrum, Kanban, and Lean principles.
- Familiarity with SQL for data analysis and reporting purposes is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience with disaster recovery planning and execution is desirable.
- Proficiency in using project management software such as Jira for tracking projects and managing tasks.
- Demonstrated ability to develop effective training materials and conduct workshops for team members.
- A strong background in software development practices is preferred, along with knowledge of release management processes.
