The Role
We’re looking for an individual that has a passion for combining creative and technical and turning it into results.
The Amelia Knight brands Digital Product Designer will be responsible for designing and building web and app pages, creating a customer experience to be proud of. This is a pivotal role, acting as a guardian for our brands and the customers who shop them.
As a Digital Product Designer, you’ll play a key role in shaping user-friendly digital journeys, ensuring our customers enjoy an engaging and intuitive experience across our web and mobile platforms. SEO is a vital part of this role, and you’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure our designs are not only visually appealing but also optimized for search visibility and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Design user journeys, wireframes, and prototypes that prioritize usability and engagement
- Design banners and graphics for all Amelia Knight brands
- Conduct user research to understand customer needs, behaviors, and pain points.
- Collaborate with brand, trade, creative and customer service teams to deliver cohesive and effective digital experiences
- Apply SEO best practices to UX design, improving discoverability and overall search performance
- Use analytics and user feedback to iterate and refine designs.
- Stay updated on digital design trends, tools, and techniques, particularly in the beauty and e-commerce sectors
Qualifications & Experience
- 3-4 years+ experience as a digital designer
- Ability to build responsive landing pages for desktop, mobile and tablet
- Ability to confidently present your ideas to key stakeholders and justify decisions when challenged. You’ll be open to constructive criticism, with an ability to interpret feedback from and communicate with non-designers regularly
- A portfolio of web designs with a track record of improving metrics related to marketing objectives
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite / Figma / XD / AE
- Experience in ecommerce UX and /or Shopify
- Basic knowledge of SEO principles and how they intersect with user experience
- An understanding of online accessibility standards like WCAG
