The Brand & Product Marketing Director is a senior role that is part of the Marketing leadership team. It is responsible for driving two of the four pillars of marketing (Brand, Product Marketing, Demand Generation, and Marketing Operations).
As the Brand & Product Marketing Director, you'll serve as the strategic lead for developing and executing comprehensive marketing initiatives that build brand awareness and drive the product portfolio’s success. You'll combine high-level brand stewardship with tactical product marketing, overseeing positioning, messaging, go-to-market strategies, advertising, and brand campaign development across all channels. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure brand consistency, while adapting marketing approaches to highlight product value propositions and meet business objectives. You'll use market insights and analytics to inform strategy, manage the marketing budget, and measure campaign effectiveness to optimise ROI.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Developing and executing brand and communications strategy, positioning, and messaging across all channels, while ensuring consistency with company values and alignment with Zellis Group.
- Leading product marketing initiatives, including launch strategies, GTM readiness, competitive analysis, and product messaging frameworks.
- Managing brand marketing campaigns, content creation, and digital marketing efforts to drive brand awareness and product adoption.
- Managing the main brand channels by delivering clear content that supports the brand strategy - digital, social, display, web (content & SEO), etc.
- Analysing market trends, customer insights, and brand campaign performance to optimise marketing strategies and ROI
- Overseeing budget planning and resource allocation for marketing initiatives while tracking KPIs.
- Directing and collaborating with internal teams and external agencies to deliver marketing objectives.
- Creating compelling marketing materials, presentations, and product collateral for various stakeholders.
- Building and maintaining relationships with key industry partners, analysts, media outlets, and influencers.
- Guiding customer research efforts to inform product positioning and marketing strategies.
- Owning and effectively delivering the crisis communication process.
- Developing and mentoring the team to support building a high performing team.
Brand
- Extensive strategic thinking and brand management expertise, with a deep understanding of marketing principles and digital platforms.
- Demonstrable track record of developing and executing brand transformation strategies in the technology sector, ideally for PE backed companies, evidenced by quantifiable growth metrics (e.g. brand value increase, market share growth).
- Proven experience managing advertising budgets exceeding £2 million, with documented ROI improvements and efficient resource allocation across multiple channels (online and offline).
- Established and maintained relationships with industry analysts and media outlets, resulting in increased brand visibility through secured speaking opportunities, media coverage, and analyst recognition.
- Created and implemented crisis communication frameworks, with specific examples of successful crisis management situations and their resolutions.
- Orchestrated large-scale marketing events (500+ attendees), with demonstrable success metrics including attendance rates, lead generation, and post-event conversion.
Campaigns
- Implemented data-driven marketing campaign strategies (brand and lead gen), resulting in specific improvements in key performance indicators (e.g. engagement rates, conversion rates, customer acquisition costs).
- Demonstrable experience in digital marketing generation and optimisation across multiple channels, with proven improvements in metrics such as organic traffic growth, social media engagement, and lead generation.
Product Marketing
- Developed and executed minimum of three successful go-to-market strategies for new products/services, with quantifiable results in market adoption and revenue generation.
- Successfully launched a minimum of 3 major product marketing campaigns with measurable impact on revenue growth and market penetration, supported by specific defined metrics.
Management
- Led and scaled marketing teams of 10+ members, with clear examples of team development initiatives and documented improvement in team performance metrics.
- Track record of successful agency management across multiple disciplines (PR, Advertising, Web, Events, Design), with portfolio of campaigns and their measurable outcomes. Demonstrated savings from agency KPI management.
- Experience presenting to and influencing C-level stakeholders, with examples of strategic initiatives approved and implemented at the executive level, with definition of impact.
