As Principal Project Manager you will be accountable and responsible for delivering complex Capital Infrastructure Delivery, with utmost focus on Performance, Cost & Time and proactively managing our supply chain to perform, ensuring delivery of both Life Cycle Replacement or Betterment outcomes. The position will operate within MPP UKStratCom and as such will deliver infrastructure projects for UKStratCom.

We are currently operating a Hybrid working model with an expectation of at least 60% of your working time to be spent in the office or on a project site.

In your day-to-day role you will find yourself undertaking the following:

Manage, set up and deliver an allocated sub-programme of work, providing effective leadership of your team and effectively managing programme risks and dependencies, delivery reporting and working within a delegated budget
Manage the appointment and subsequent performance of contractors to the appropriate commercial, financial and delivery standards
Establish, line manage and develop the project team, providing guidance and coaching where required
Problem solve and escalate any issues that arise, liaise with a variety of senior stakeholders, provide reports and detailed information as required
Review and ensure Business Cases are compliant and meet required standards, and enable project delivery
Manage, check and test the financial propriety and application of due process to all projects within your area of responsibility, taking appropriate corrective action as needed
Coordinating and where appropriate, deconfliction of numerous Defence Lines of Development (DLODs) impacting on Capital work projects to maintain momentum and avoid duplication

Mandatory Qualifications Required- A project Management qualification such as APMP/APM(PMQ)/Prince2.

Due to the nature of the role there will be a need for travel to various DIO sites that are inaccessible by other transport means.
